Storied Orlando – Chapter 29: Corner

Storied Orlando
Chapter 29: Corner

In fifteen minutes Damian needed to be at Will’s to hear Rachel play. Only two blocks away, plenty of time. Except Damian had painted himself into a corner. Literally. He’d ripped the old tile out weeks ago, and decided today would be the day to get off his hipster ass and paint the floor. Dancing to his music, high on beer and fumes, mesmerized by the red with swatches of black, he hadn’t been paying attention. Perched on the window ledge, Damian judged he could make it to the chandelier and swing to dry. Anything for a girl. Okay, go!

Storied Orlando is a short-short story project by Scottie Campbell. Each story is 100 words or less. Some of the stories are lovely, some less so, but they all want to be told.
